2012-09-25 LUNCH FISH ON THE ROCKS

It was such a beautiful day in Cape Town, that I decided to take Cato and my Mom down to Hout Bay to experience the beautiful bay and the delicious prawn and chips combo from Fish on the Rocks.

2012-09-16 WYNBERG - KIRSTENBOSCH - HOUT BAY

Another perfect day in Cape Town!

I was up fairly early and decided it was definitely time for another ride. I had a photo assignment - so good to combine work and play!  First stop was Kirstenbosch, but on the way the most beautiful view caught my eye.. Just had to stop and take a photo!  Cant say I have ever seen anything like it!!

After my brief look, I went on to Kirstenbosch Gardens. How amazing! The birds were having a field day - chattering away! I never went into Kirstenbosch Gardens but took a couple of photos at the entrance to the Gardens... There were so many people arriving for picnics, hikes, breakfast and properly just walks around the Gardens. We are so lucky to have such a beautiful place right on our doorstep!!

From there I went down to Hout Bay. I tried to go to my normal 'stop' - Fish on the Rocks. It was so packed because of the Hout Bay Market which was in full swing.  Everyone had put on their summer clothes and were heading down to the market for a shopping expedition or a delightful breakfast!

I just did a u-turn and headed of for Hout Bay Beach. It was already filling up - families with young children, young lovers, couples and singles with dogs.. people looking to catch a wave or a quick paddle.. just thought how good life can be if you just take the time to get out and be there!

I just sat on my bike and observed those around me.

Family time was calling, so I headed back over the berg to be with them.

I couldnt stop thinking what an awesome place we stay in  - you just need the initiative to get out there and experience it!!

2012-09-15 MOUILLE POINT

Got up early this morning. Had a photographic assignment in Mouille Point, so took the bike and headed out.

What an amazing morning. Everyone was there, walking their dogs, children, wives, friends, who knows what. I was taking pictures with my camera and with my Samsung tab, and at one stage, I saw a reflection in my tab where someone was actually watching me too closely with all my equipment. It made me realise, no matter how family orientated and what a wonderful morning it was, one still had to be aware of what was going on around you!!

I took all the photos I planned to take and headed home via Clifton, Camps bay , Llandudno and Hout Bay.  I could see how our Cape Town family was drawing their energy from the wonderful weather and had planned a great day ahead!

This pup just loved his watering hole to regain
his strength for his next run!
