2012-08-17 WALKING THE DOGS

The best time of the day for the dogs is their walk. I try and make a point of going every day - but why, or why cant I get it right. I enjoy it - the dogs enjoy it - and yet life seems to get in the way.

I dont always take my camera - its difficult when I walk alone for one - and secondly not the best option if I am alone.

Anyway this day, hubby and I took them to the park together. This way we are all happy - we are all together - he can throw the ball for the dogs and I can experiment with my camera to my hearts desire!

First off its the 'meet and greet'. Lets meet all the dogs in the park. I really hope that we are first ones in the park so that I an let them off their leads without feeling bad, otherwise they rush to any other dogs in the park, much to the owners dismay!

I try and reassure them its a friendly greet - but sometimes the owners just get angry and the meeting is not a pleasant one.. I think that the owners anxiety rubs off on the animals.. but for the most part we all want our dogs to socialise.

Best part - the first time Dad throw the ball!.. We can read the animals like a book.. Chloe and Bubu chase balls - Gerry and Abby have now idea how!  And its funny how Chloe must always win!  If Bubu does get the ball - a quick show of authority and Bubu drops the ball.   Funny also how Bubu plays the player not the ball!

Chloe is always in front with Bubu hot on her heels..

Gerry of course prefers to be the social butterfly - meeting good looking friends along the way..

Sometimes I wonder who gets more exercise - Dad or the dogs..

Chloe very pleased with herself to have the ball in her mouth..

And the game is on..

You have to be pretty agile for these moves!!

Gerry just stands around looking handsome!

And off they go again

So agile!

Abby is just sooh happy to be out.. All the aches and pains of old age forgotten..

Hard to believe Bubu was left for dead on the side of the road - with a broken leg - having lost 90% of his body weight.. he probably thinks he did die and went to heaven... He runs fantastically and just ever so often his little limp re-appears and he lies down waiting for the next throw of the ball

Fun was had by all and another walks draws to a close as we leave the news dogs tearing around the park having their fun time!
